Kapacitiva laster
Laddningar med kapacitiv belastning ställer alltid extrema krav på kopplingskontakterna - oavsett spänningstyp. Detta gäller särskilt för LED-lampor. När de är påslagna ger de upphov till hög energistyrka som snabbt kan nå upp till mer än 100 A och svetsa kontakten. Men laster med kapacitiva komponenter är inte omedelbart igenkännbara överallt. De kan också döljas i komponenter som vanligtvis är avsedda för induktiva belastningar - t.ex. magnetventiler och kontaktorer med en förkrets för att utöka ingångsspänningsområdet. I dessa förkretsar kan kondensatorer generera ström toppar på upp till 150 A när de är påslagna. Detta kan också leda till svetsning av kontakterna eller förstörelse av utgången.
