Long specification | Multi-pole surge voltage arrestor according to the requirements of Class II/III acc. to IEC 61643-11, EN61643-11:2013. Consisting of V0 material, the arrestor serves as overvoltage protection and is used in applications according to IEC 61643-12. The use of a high-performance varistor in combination with sparkover gaps satisfies the inspection requirements for Class II surge protection systems on the basis of the standards. The leakage current-free arrestor is installed in the vicinity of the power supply for the equipment that needs protection, in a commercially available installation/electrical distribution enclosure. The VPU II 3 R 280 V/40 kA is used in the TN-C mains network. With thermal separation device on the varistor.
